Rescued and neds Heart Worm treatment
This sweet and energetic boy has spent his life on a chain. When I found him, he was chained to a tree, but his owners told me he had previously been chained to a post. He was never played with, fed regularly, or given proper shelter from the elements, besides an uninsulated dog house that he could barely get inside of due to the length of his chain.
When I found a rescue to take him in, they told me I would have to have him tested for heartworms and that they would reimburse me for his testing. Unfortunately, life on a chain without proper treatment has it's consequences. He tested positive for heartworm. Fortunately, the vet said it was only slightly positive, and that he has a great chance of getting better and living a great life! The rescue, however, refused to take him because they said they could use their resources to help dogs who were already healthy.
Luckily, I found another GREAT rescue who agreed to take him. They are going to treat his heartworm. I have agreed to help them raise funds for his treatment and vetting. This boy is SO sweet and will make such a great pet for the right family. PLEASE help if you can! Even if it's just $1!!!!
